Selam!

Uzun zamandır buraya yeni yayın yapmamıştım - ama bu o sürede yeni manikürler yapmadığım anlamına gelmiyor! Daha çok resimleri çekip yazılarını yazmaya üşendiğimden kaynaklanıyor :) Zaten bu maniküre de ne yazacağımı pek bilmiyorum. Elimde incecik uçlu bir fırça ve çeşitli boyalarla bir süre baş başa kalınca oluştu. Kime sorsam neden sadece iki tırnak diye soruyor - sabrım ikisine yetti!

Pek de fena olmadı. Ne dersiniz?

Hi!

I haven't updated this blog for some time - this doesn't mean I haven't been doing any manicures! I took all their photos but was too lazy to turn them into blog posts :) Accordingly, I don't know what to write about this manicure. It happened when I was alone with a tiny paint brush and lots of acrylics. As for why it is only on two nails - I have only so much patience!

Sonbaharı kaçırdım ama daha kışın başındayken kış temalı manikürlerime başladım. Tabi ki henüz ortalıkta görünmeyen karları tırnaklarıma çizerek.

İlk olarak karların arkaplanından başlayayım. Suluboya da denilen, şeffaf ambalaj kağıdı (ya da şeffaf, naylon ambalaj malzemesine ne denirse) kullanılan tekniği uyguladım. Pek çok yerde nasıl yapıldığını görmüşsünüzdür, tırnağınıza istediğini ojeleri damlatıp, ambalaj kağıdı ile yayıyorsunuz. Şimdiye kadar uyguladığım en basit teknik ama çok hoş bir görüntü oluşturuyor. Tek sıkıntısı sonrasında ciddi temizlik istiyor olması. Bu manikürde beş farklı mavi tonu ile uyguladım ama çok yakın renkler seçtiğim için pek belli olmuyor. Bir dahaya farklı renkler ile yapacağım, o zaman tekniğin yarattığı hoş hava iyice belli oluyor.

Kar tanelerini de akrilik boya ile çizdim. Kendi çizdiğimi söylediğim herkesten 'çatlaksın!' tarzı tepkiler aldığım için bir süre sonra açıklama yapmayı bıraktım. O zaman da herkes baskı zannediyor. Farklı boylarda ve şekillerde kar taneleri, böyle baskı plakası var mı yahu? Varsa ben de istiyorum.

Hi, how are you?

I missed fall but as soon as winter came, I started my winter theme manicures. First is snow, of course, although we haven't seen it yet.

Let me start with the background. I applied a technique called watercolour, where you use a wrapping paper (or whatever you call the transparent, plastic wrapping material). There are lots of tutorials for it - basically you put drops of polishes on your nail and spread it with wrapping paper. It was the simplest technique I tried but it looks really nice. It's only problem is the clean up. I used five different shades of blue for this manicure but apparently I choose close shades so they are not apparent. Next time, I will use this technique with different colours, then you might see its beauty.

I drew the snow flakes with acrylic paint. Whenever I say that I drew them myself, I get 'you are crazy!' type reactions so I stopped explaining after some time. Then, people started to assume this is stamping. There are different shapes in different sizes, is there a stamping plate like this? If there is, I want it.

Uzun zamandan sonra ebruli yaptım ve umutlandım. Sanki biraz daha pratikle doğru düzgün ebruli desenleri yapabilecekmişim gibi geldi. Çok zaman alıyor ama yakınlarda bir kere daha yapsam iyi olacak.

After a long time, I did watermarble. It was hopeful, it feels like with some practise, I can manage to do a proper and good-looking watermarble. Although it takes so much time, I should do it again soon.

What do you think? How does it look good?

Bu akşam yurtdışına gidiyorum ve bir hafta boyunca hem bakmaktan sıkılmayacağım hem de iş görüşmelerinin yarı resmi formatına uygun bir manikür yapmak istedim. İnternette açık pembe üzerine siyah noktalı manikürler var, benim için fazla romantik ama o tarzı denemek istedim. Tabi üçüncü tırnaktan sonra düz noktalar yapmaktan sıkıldığım için biraz hareket ekledim. Nasıl olmuş?

I am going abroad tonight so I wanted to make a manicure that I wouldn't get bored for a week and would also be suitable for semi-formal business meetings. I saw this manicure on the internet, though it is usually on light pink and too romantic for my tastes. I wanted to try it with a less romantic colour but after the third nail, I got bored of straight lined dots and added some curves. What do you think?
